Sunday Morning Worship

THIS PAGE IS STILL IN EDITING PHASE 11/1/2023 - shoot us an email or give us a call and we'd love to tell you about the GOOD NEWS of JESUS CHRIST!

Would you like to have a personal relationship with God? You can today. Today, you can know that heaven will be your home... Jesus may have brought you to this very moment...

if the gospel of jesus is referred to as "good news," then we need to know the bad news first...

"among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the CHILDREN OF WRATH, even as others. - Ephesians 2:3

"Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned" - Romans 5:12

When Adam (Adam & Eve) chose of his free will to disobey God's commandment (it wasn't just a tree or a fruit, but obedience), sin entered the world. That sin "tainted" Adam's blood so that by genetic inheritance all men & women are born with sin. Look at a baby or a child. They don't have to learn to behave badly, it comes "naturally".

For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; Romans 3:23

For thou art not a God that hath pleasure in wickedness: neither shall evil dwell with thee. The foolish shall not stand in thy sight: thou HATEST all workers of iniquity. - Psalms 5:4-5

You may be thinking... Well I don't really "sin" - I've never stolen anything or committed murder...

It may be a bit difficult for our sinful and finite (small) minds to totally comprehend this side of heaven, but God's holiness or standards are SO HIGH and so complex that he HATES the "small sin" just as much as the "BIG sin" and both disqualifies us from spending eternity in Heaven.

For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all.  - James 2:10

Sin is NOT only the "BAD" we do, but the "GOOD" we DO NOT...

Therefore, to him who knows to do good and does not do it, to him it is sin - James 4:17

Even to the individual that DOES NOT have a personal relationship with God, we are born with this sense of right and wrong. The great apologist and author C. S. Lewis stated that "conscience reveals to us a moral law whose source cannot be found in the natural world, thus pointing to a supernatural Lawgiver." Though heavily tainted by the flesh and sin, man generally has a sense of right and wrong.

For the wages of sin is death... - Romans 6:23 A

And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. - Revelations 24:14

What is God's wrath? It is Hell. A literal place of torture and suffering. Being that the soul is eternal, there is NO end.

But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death. - Revelation 21:8

This whole page could be filled with scripture referencing Hell . Jesus himself, spoke more often and more vividly on the reality of Hell than He ever did on heaven.

You can't be GOOD ENOUGH or a "good person"

6 But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags

no list to check off (denomination red x, good deeds red x , baptism red x, etc)

appointed to die

yikes! so what's the good news?

God does not want to take on His wrath

what can jesus do about this? everything, and he already did!

took on our sin to death on the cross

God's wrath was poured out on Him

it was his choice

he paid your debt

blood was spilled for ransom

He rose from the dead, victorious over death hell and the grave

why jesus though? what was special about him?

his blood came from god (virgin birth) - no sin contamination

lived a perfect life - in tune with God's will (not doing bad, doing good)

100% God / 100% Man - this was His purpose "born to die"

so i believe Jesus did this things, now what

head knowledge vs heart knowledge

being Born again , from a child of wrath to a child of God

repent - turn from your former belief (being good person etc)

accepting the gift of salvation (free will)

asking Jesus into your heart - confess on His name

just as simple as the publican, but you could talk to God like this... "sinners prayer"

is it really that simple? yes

like a child

thief on the cross

man w/ satan's help makes it difficult

can i lose my salvation? no

eternally secure - if we can lose it then it's not eternal

name written in the lamb's book of life (jesus doesn't use pencil, He uses blood) And the Holy Spirit is the witness

God's power

we never "earned" it in the first place

license to sin - new creation but the flesh is still present

at the judgement seat, the Father only sees Jesus

I Accepted Christ, what should I do now?

work out salvation - strive to do God's will in our lives / studying God's Word - baptism

find a biblically accurate church to grow in truth and love (we'd love have you join us!)

tell people about the Good News (remembering the bad news)

ok well maybe i'll revisit jesus later

don't wait - you could die today

Satan's lie - life will be boring as a Christian
